Turkey Custard Cups

- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 green onion, minced
- 1 slice whole wheat or white bread
- 1 1/2 c. diced cooked turkey
- 1/2 (4 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese (1/2 c.)
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1About 30 minutes before serving, cook green onion in a 1 quart saucepan over medium heat in hot butter or margarine until tender, stirring occasionally.

2Meanwhile, cut bread into 1/4-inch cubes; place bread into 6 (6 ounce) custard cups.

3Sprinkle with the diced turkey and shredded cheese.

4In medium bowl with wire whisk or fork, beat eggs, milk, salt and green onion.

5Pour mixture into custard cups.

6Place custard cups in a 12-inch skillet.

7Pour water in skillet to come halfway up side of custard cups.

8Over medium-low heat, heat water to boiling.

9Cover skillet and remove from heat.

10Let custard stand in covered skillet 15 minutes or until set.

11Makes 6 main dish servings.
