Ingredients

  • 1 c. oleo or butter
  • 4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 qt. chopped celery
  • 5 qt. day old corn bread and white bread
  • 2 to 3 qt. liquid broth and canned milk (1 large can)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 Tbsp. salt and coarse ground black pepper
  • sage
  • 10 eggs, beaten

Directions

    Melt butter in skillet.

    Add onions and celery and saute until tender.

    Crumble bread.

    Add seasonings, cooked onions and celery. Mix together.

    Add liquid and eggs and mix well.

    Bake in greased pans at 350° until done, about 45 minutes.

    (I mix mine up the night before as this improves flavor.

    Store in refrigerator.) Serves 50.
