  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 12 lb fresh mushrooms, diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano, chopped
  • 12 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • salt & pepper
  • 3 cups oats (quick or rolled)
  • 14 cup Worcestershire sauce

    skillet saute onions, mushrooms, garlic, bay leaf until onions in oil and butter until are translucent.

    Add basil, thyme and oregano, and cook for 5-7 minutes or until liquid is almost gone.

    bowl, combine ground turkey with saute mixture, and oats, egg and worcestershire sauce and form into 8 patties.

    Cook in well oiled skillet or on the grill for 5-7 minutes per side.
