Turkey Piccata

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb.) pkg. turkey breast slices
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. butter
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
  • 1 c. dry white wine
  • 2 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 4 cans S & W Texas Style barbecue beans
  • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes (with the juice)
  • 1 c. chopped bell pepper or can use 3 Tbsp. dehydrated
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder (more or less to your taste)
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (more or less to your taste)

    In a large skillet, brown turkey with onion.

    Drain fat. Place meat mixture in a large crock-pot and add remaining ingredients.

    Mix all together well.

    Cook on lowest setting for 8 to 10 hours.

    Stir well before serving.

    Stores well for up to a week, if you have it around that long!
