  • 2 c. cubed cooked turkey or chicken
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 2 c. chicken broth
  • 1 c. wine (white or Rose)
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 c. cooked frozen peas
  • 1/3 c. slivered almonds
  • 1/8 tsp. white pepper (optional)
  • 2 c. hot cooked rice

Directions

    Melt butter; saute onion until tender.

    Stir in flour; add broth and wine.

    Cook until thick.

    Add turkey, mushrooms, peas, almonds and pepper.

    Heat through.
