  • 1 whole load wheat bread
  • 1 lb smoked or Italian sausage (5 links), cup up
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 lb sliced mushrooms (2 cups)
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 2 cups celery, chopped

    In a large skillet, brown sausage; pour off fat. Add butter, spices, celery, mushrooms, onions; cook until onion is tender. Add bread- a little at a time- adding broth to keep it moist. cook slowly on low heat.
