Turnip Casserole

Ingredients

  • 6 c. mashed turnips
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • bread crumbs, buttered

Directions

    Salt and cook enough turnips for 6 cups.

    Drain and mash.

    Add softened cream cheese, sugar and margarine; mix well.

    Pour into casserole and top with bread crumbs.

    Bake at 350° until bubbly, hot and lightly browned.

    Makes 8 to 10 servings.

    Rutabagas or carrots may be used also.
