- 4 medium turnips
- 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. diced ham
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 can cheese soup
- 1/2 c. crushed cornflakes or cracker crumbs
Directions

1Peel and slice turnips.

2Cook in salted water.

3Drain and put in 1 1/2-quart casserole.

4Brown ham slightly and add flour, salt and pepper.

5Add milk gradually while stirring.

6Cook until thick.

7Stir in soup.

8Pour sauce over turnips and top with crumbs.

9Bake at 350° until bubbly, about 15 to 20 minutes.
