- 1 1/2 lbs turnips, cut in 1/8 inch slices
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 tablespoons butter
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon tarragon
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup grated swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup soft breadcrumbs
Directions

1Boil turnip slices for 2 to 3 minutes.

2Rub a medium size casserole dish with clove of garlic, and then butter.

3Layer 1/3 of turnips into dish, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

4Top with 1/3 of tarragon, parmesan, and swiss cheeses.

5Repeat layer steps twice.

6Pour cream over top.

7Sprinkle breadcrumbs over top.

8Using leftover butter, place bits of butter over the top.

9Bake at 400 for about 45 minutes.
