- 1 pkg. Swiss chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 14 oz. light caramels
- 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Directions

1Place cake mix, melted butter, and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in large mixing bowl.

2Beat at high speed until well mixed.

3Place 1/2 of mixture into a 9 x 13-inch greased baking pan and press well into bottom.

4Bake at 350° for 6 minutes.

5Remove from oven and cool to room temperature.

6Place caramels and remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk in heavy saucepan.

7Stir over medium heat until smooth.

8Pour evenly over baked and cooled chocolate mixture.

9Spread with spatula to cover all of chocolate mixture. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.
