- 1 (14 oz) pkg. caramels
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 german chocolate cake mix
- 2/3 c. melted butter
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Melt caramels and 1/2 of the evaporated milk in double boiler (keep warm).

2Blend cake mix with the other 1/2 of the evaporated milk and melted butter.

3Beat for 2 minutes.

4Spread 1/2 of cake mixture in bottom of greased 9x13 inch pan.

5Bake at 350° for 6 minutes.

6Cool for 2 minutes.

7Spread caramels over cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.

8Spoon drop rest of cake mixture (mixed with 1/2 the nuts) over that. Sprinkle with the rest of the nuts.

9Bake at 350° for 18 minutes.
