- 14 oz. caramels
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 c. oleo
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Melt caramels, 1/2 cup evaporated milk and oleo in double boiler.

2Mix together cake mix and 1/2 cup evaporated milk (batter will be thick).

3Preheat oven to 350°.

4Grease 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread half cake mixture in pan.

5Bake 7 minutes.

6Remove from oven and spread with caramel.

7Sprinkle with chocolate chips and chopped nuts.

8Use a teaspoon and put the remaining cake mix on top. Spread carefully.

9Bake 15 minutes.

10Cake will not look done.

11Let set 8 to 12 hours before serving.
