- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk, plus 3/4 c. evaporated milk
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 c. pecans
- 1 c. milk chocolate chips
- 3/4 c. margarine
Directions

1Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk; set aside.

2Beat together dry cake mix, 3/4 cup evaporated milk and 3/4 cup margarine.

3Bake half the cake batter in greased 9 x 13-inch pan in 350° oven for 15 minutes.

4Spread caramel mixture on top of cake.

5Add pecans and chocolate chips.

6Spread remaining batter and continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes.
