  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. caramels
  • 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Directions

    Mix cake mix as directed on box.

    Pour 1/2 batter into greased 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

    Melt margarine and caramels; mix well.

    Stir in condensed milk.

    Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over baked cake.

    Pour caramel mixture over all. Pour remaining cake batter over caramel and bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
