- 2 eggs
- 1 German Chocolate Cake Mix
- 1 stick of margarine softened
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1/2 can Eagle Brand Milk
- 1 lb. Bag caramels
- 1/2 can Eagle Brand Milk
Directions

1Combine first 6 ingredients and mix well.

2Pour one half of the batter into greased & floured 13 X 9 X 2 baking dish.

3Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 20 - 25 minutes.

4Melt and mix together the caramels and Eagle Brand milk.

5Spread over the baked layer.

6Sprinkle generously with chopped pecans.

7Cover with remaining cake batter.

8Bake 25 - 35 minutes longer.

9Frost with Turtle Cake Frosting (recipe follows).
