  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 c. Eagle Brand milk
  • 1 lb. Kraft caramels
  • pecans (optional)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Mix cake mix, butter, water, oil and 1/2 can of Eagle Brand milk.

    Pour 1/2 of batter in a 13 x 9-inch greased pan.

    Bake for 25 minutes.

    Melt caramels and remaining Eagle Brand milk.

    Pour over baked cake.

    Sprinkle with chopped pecans.

    Pour remaining batter over baked cake.

    Bake for 25 minutes.
