  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
  • 14 oz. pkg. Kraft caramels
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 c. Pet milk
  • 1 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped

    Mix cake as directed on package.

    Pour half of cake mix in a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. In a double boiler, melt caramels with butter and milk.

    Pour caramels over partly cooked cake.

    Put chocolate chips and pecans over caramels.

    Pour remainder of cake mix on top and bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
