- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. coarsely chopped black walnuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
- 6 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
Directions

1In large mixer bowl, place in order listed, except confectioners sugar.

2Beat slowly until blended.

3Beat at high speed for 5 minutes.

4Turn into 10-inch tube pan.

5Bake in preheated 350° oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until rich and golden brown and pick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack for 5 minutes.

6Gently loosen and invert on rack.

7Turn top side up and cool completely.

8Sprinkle with confectioners sugar stirred through a sifter.
