- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 14 oz. (48 to 52) caramels
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 can Eagle Brand milk
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 6 oz. chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions

1Make cake mix according to package directions. Pour half batter in 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Bake 15 minutes at 350°.

3Melt caramels and margarine.

4Blend well.

5Add Eagle Brand milk.

6Mix until smooth.

7Pour over baked cake.

8Add remaining batter.

9Top with chocolate chips and nuts.

10Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Check for doneness (not gooey).
