- 1 German chocolate cake mix
- 1 stick oleo, softened
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 large can evaporated milk
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1 lb. bag caramels
- chopped pecans
Directions

1Mix well, oleo, water, eggs, oil and 1/2 can milk.

2Add to cake mix, blend well.

3Pour 1/2 mixture into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 pan.

4Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

5Melt caramels and add rest of can of milk, saving back 6 tablespoons for frosting.

6Pour caramel and milk mixture over baked layer; sprinkle with pecans.

7Pour rest of batter on top and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
