  • 1/2 cups Butter
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • Salt
  • 1/2 cups Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3 cups Oats
  • 1 cup Coconut (optional)
  • 1 cup Pecans (optional)

Directions

    Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Then add sugar, salt, cocoa, milk and vanilla. Increase heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, boiling for 1 minute. Then remove from heat.

    Stir into a heatproof mixing bowl with the oats (and coconut and pecans if desired.) Mix thoroughly; drop by teaspoon onto wax paper.

    Let cool completely prior to packaging.
