- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 (16 ounce) cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (46 ounce) can tomato juice
- 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 cups refried beans
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
Directions

1In a soup kettle or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
