  • 1 c. green beans, cut up
  • 1 c. wax beans, cut up
  • salted water
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour

Directions

    Cook beans in salt water just until tender.

    Drain well or use canned beans.

    Heat 2 to 3 inch cooking oil to 375°.

    Combine egg and milk.

    Add flour.

    Add beans, stirring just until moistened. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into hot oil.

    Fry several at a time until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes.

    Drain on paper towel.
