  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 c. Crisco
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Fold in flour alternately with milk.

    Add salt, lemon and vanilla.

    Bake in 2 greased and floured cake pans at 350° for 25 or 30 minutes.
