  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 18 teaspoon salt
  • 3 12 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar

    Cream together shortening and sugars.

    Add the eggs and mix well.

    Also add the vanilla.

    Gradually add the flour mixed with the soda and cream of tartar.

    Make small tablespoon sized balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 350F until brown, about 10 minutes.
