Ingredients

  • 1/2 lemon
  • 6 3/8 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 7/16 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 eggs
  • 7 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cream
  • powdered sugar

Directions

  1. 1
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2
Butter and flour mini pie plates. In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, egg, butter, vanilla, and baking powder. Knead until a dough forms.
  3. 3
Roll out the pie crust until thin. Place pie crust in the mini pie plates. Place a small piece of wax paper on the pie crusts and fill the pies with dried beans to avoid the crusts from swelling while baking. Bake for 20 minutes.
  4. 4
Warm the two-tone cream using a double boiler. Generously fill the mini pies, mixing to create a marble effect.
  5. 5
Return the pies to the oven for 6 to 8 minutes, then cool completely.
  6. 6
Remove the mini pies from the pie plates and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
