Ingredients
- 6 to 7 c. unsifted flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. milk
- 1/3 c. water
- 3/4 c. margarine (1 1/2 sticks)
- 4 eggs, room temperature
Directions

1In large bowl, thoroughly mix 2 cups flour, sugar, salt, orange peel and dry yeast.

2Combine 1 cup milk, water and margarine in a saucepan and heat over low heat until liquids are very warm (120° to 130°).

3Margarine does not have to melt completely.

4Gradually add this mixture to dry ingredients and beat two minutes at medium speed of electric mixer.

5Scrape bowl occasionally.

6Add eggs and 3/4 cup flour, beating at high speed for two minutes and scraping bowl periodically.

7Stir in enough additional flour to make a soft dough.

8Turn onto floured board and knead until smooth and elastic (about 8 to 10 minutes).

9Place in greased bowl, turning often to grease the entire dough.
