Upside-Down Apple Pecan Pie

- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/3 c. melted margarine
- pie crust (top and bottom)
- 6 c. sliced and peeled apples
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In 9-inch pie pan, combine pecans, brown sugar and margarine.

3Spread evenly over bottom of pan. Prepare pie crust for 2 crust pie.

4Place bottom crust over pecan mixture in pan.

5In large bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour and cinnamon.

6Mix lightly.

7Spoon into pie crust lined pan.

8Top with second crust.

9Cut slits in several places.

10Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.

11Cool pie upright in pan for 5 minutes.

12Place serving plate over pie.

13Invert.
-
14(You may need to take a knife between pan and crust before inverting it.) Carefully remove pan. Some nuts may remain in pan.

15Replace on pie with knife.

16Cool before serving.
