  • 14 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 12 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla

    Combine sugar and cornstarch in a medium saucepan.

    Gradually stir in milk.

    Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens slightly.

    Stir about one-third of the hot mixture into eggs; return egg mixture to saucepan.

    Cook and stir over low heat abour 1 minute or until mixture just thickens.

    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

    Cover surface completely with plastic wrap.

    Cool to room temperature.

    Chill.
