- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- confectioners sugar to sprinkle (optional)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Line 24 muffin pans with paper liners or grease pans and dust lightly with flour.

3Sift flour, salt and baking powder together into bowl.

4In a separate bowl, cream butter; add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.

5Beat in egg, one at a time.

6Alternately add flour mixture and milk to egg mixture.

7Beat well after each addition.

8Stir in vanilla.
