  • 6 whole Vanilla Bean Pods
  • 16 ounces, fluid Vodka, The Cheaper The Better

Directions

    Slice down the center of each bean pod to expose the seeds.

    Place them in one 16 ounce mason jar or split between two 8 ounce mason jars then cover with vodka.

    Twist on the lid and shake.

    Place in a dark cool place for at least 30 days.

    I check on them once a week and give them a shake.

    Sometimes I just keep the vanilla pods in the vanilla and just add a ribbon and a tag or I sometimes strain out the the bean pods and pour the extract into a smaller container.

    Note: You will also need one 16 ounce or two 8 ounce mason jars with lids and rings.
