- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. canned milk
- 1/3 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Stir sugar and canned milk until dissolved, heating slowly to a slow boil (will scorch easily).

2Place cream of tartar on side of pan and dissolve before mixing thoroughly.

3Cook slowly to soft ball stage.

4Add Karo syrup.

5Set aside to cool.

6Add vanilla and butter.
-
7Cool to thumbprint.

8Beat until smooth.

9Add nuts and pour into greased pan.
