- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 12 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 12 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 2 12 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375F.

2Cream butter and sugar in large bown until light and fluffy.

3Beat in the egg, vanilla, cardamom and salt.

4Using a spoon, stir in flour until well mixed.

5Pack the dough into the cookie press.

6Fit with the desired disk design.

7Press the dough onto ungreased baking sheet approximately 1 inch apart.

8Sprinkle with vanilla sugar, if desired or decorate with colored sugars before baking.

9Bake until lightly golden, about 10 - 12 minutes.

10Gently transfer the cookies (while warm) to wire racks to cool.

11Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
