Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 carrots, sliced thin
  • 1 pkg. frozen peas
  • salt to taste
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1/2 head cabbage
  • 3 stalks celery, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • pepper to taste
  • 3 medium zucchini, sliced 1-inch thick

Directions

    Melt margarine in heavy skillet; set aside.

    Layer vegetables in skillet:

    carrots, onion, celery, zucchini and green peas.

    Top off with cabbage; season and dot with butter.

    Cover tightly with lid; bring to boil.

    Let simmer for 6 to 8 minutes, until vegetables are done.

    Best when the vegetables are still slightly crisp.
