Ingredients

  • 2 loaves bread diced in 3/4 inch cubes
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 onion
  • 3 carrots
  • 3/4 bunch celery
  • 1/3 cup combined sage, thyme, marjoram, oregano
  • 1/3 tsp smoked paprika
  • generous amounts of salt and pepper
  • 1 container veg broth

    Brown bread cubes in 300 degree oven for 15 min

    Chop and saute onion, carrots, celery, shallots in butter and olive oil

    Add spices and salt, pepper

    Add veg broth until warm

    Add warm ingredients to bread cubes and mix until all bread is soft

    Spoon stuffing into a large buttered baking dish

    Smooth the top and bake until browned and crisp, about 50 minutes at 350 degrees
