- cooking oil
- 2 lb. ground venison or 1 lb. venison and 1 lb. lean ground chuck
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 (16 oz.) can or more tomatoes (undrained)
- 1 c. water
- 3/4 c. red wine
- 2 or 3 diced green chilies
- 2 or 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 3 or more Tbsp. chili powder
- 3/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. cumin
Directions

1Cook venison and onions over medium heat in a little oil in a large pot until brown, stirring frequently.

2Stir in remaining ingredients.

3Reduce heat; simmer at least 1 hour.

4Stir occasionally.
