- 2 1/2 lb. venison steak
- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder or salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/2 tsp. hickory salt (optional)
- 3 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Soak venison in salt and vinegar water for several hours or overnight before cooking.

2Rinse with cold water.

3Mix flour, salt, garlic powder, hickory salt and pepper.

4Dredge venison in seasoned flour.

5Brown in small amount of fat in skillet over high heat.

6Place in casserole.

7Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan; cook for 5 minutes.

8Pour over venison and cover.

9Bake at 300° for 2 1/2 hours, adding water as needed.
