- 1 1/2 lb. shoulder
- vinegar
- 3 to 4 sliced onions
- 6 bay leaves
- water
- carrots
- celery
- potatoes
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Place shoulder in crock and cover with vinegar combined with onions and bay leaves.

2Marinate in mixture for 2 days.

3Wash meat in cold water.

4Add to boiling water and stew until tender. Remove from water and bone.

5Dice carrots, celery and potatoes. Cook in meat broth until tender.

6Cut meat and add to vegetables. Thicken broth; salt and pepper to taste.
