  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 14 cup milk
  • food coloring

Directions

    Combine the melted butter and 1 cup powdered sugar.

    Whisk until the whole mixture is crumbly.

    Add about a tablespoon of milk and whisk until smooth (it should take a few minutes).

    Add the remaining powdered sugar with the milk (you may need more or less milk, depending on the humidity).

    Add a few drops of food coloring, if desired.

    It should be a thick enough to stay on a cookie if iced, and not run off.
