  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 1/2 c. Wesson oil
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 c. apples, grated or sliced or 1 (20 oz.) can sliced, unsweetened stock apples

    Mix by hand.

    Cream oil and sugar.

    Add vanilla and eggs. Then add dry ingredients.

    Add apples and pecans last.

    Grease and flour tube pan and bake 1 hour at 350°.

    Cool completely in pan before removing.
