- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. milk
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. each: vanilla and lemon extract
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until light.

2Add eggs (slightly beaten).

3Add flour and milk (alternately), beating after each addition.

4Add 1 teaspoon baking powder to the last cup of flour, stirring in the flavorings.

5Baking in a well-greased and floured 9-inch tube pan, bake 45 minutes at 200°, then increase heat to 350° and bake until done, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

6When done, cake will leave tester clean.

7Cool in pan 15 minutes; turn out.
