- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sweet milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar together.

2Add 3 eggs.

3Sift baking powder and flour together and add to egg and sugar mixture alternately with milk.

4Add vanilla.

5Add the remaining egg.

6Beat into the batter just a little to mix.

7Pour mixture into pan and set in refrigerator for 1 hour.

8Place in cold oven and set temperature to 275°.

9Bake for 1 hour.

10Turn temperature up to 300°; bake 40 minutes.
