  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup Hershey's Cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp McCormick nutmeg
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup brandy or congac
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 container Duncan Hines Milk Chocolate frosting
