Volie'S Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients
- 2 lb. lean hamburger meat
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 to 4 large pods garlic, crushed
- 1 c. raw instant rice
- 1 can tomatoes, crushed and drained
- salt and crushed pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 qt. can tomato juice
- 1 extra large head cabbage
Directions

1Mix the first 7 ingredients together in a bowl and prepare the cabbage leaves.

2Wilt the cabbage leaves.

3Place some of the meat mixture in each leaf and roll up.

4Secure with a toothpick.

5Put into a large Dutch oven.

6Pour the tomato juice over the rolls. Add chili powder.

7Boil gently for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
