  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
  • 1 3/4 c. lukewarm milk, scalded then cooled
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 c. soft butter or margarine
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Add milk, sugar and salt.

    Beat in remaining ingredients with rotary beater. Cover; let rise in warm place (85°), about 1 1/2 hours.

    Stir down; cover and refrigerate overnight or until ready to use.

    Bake in waffle iron.
