Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour 45 type
  • 1 teaspoon yeast dehydrated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 7/8 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons oil preferably walnut oil
  • 6 3/8 tablespoons walnuts coarsely chopped
  • 5 3/8 tablespoons dried figs chopped

    In a bowl, mix the flour and the salt. Make a well and pour in the water, oil, and yeast. Mix together and knead until it takes the form of a ball. Add the nuts and the figs and knead the dough for 10 to15 minutes. Cover the dough with a cloth and let rise for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

    Form bread balls and place on a baking tray previously covered with parchment paper. Cover with a cloth and let the dough rest again for 20 minutes.

    Preheat oven to th 7.

    Brown the buns by brushing little oil on top of them. Before baking, pour a little water into the roasting pan to generate a little moisture in the oven (the bread will be crispier). Bake the buns and let them cook for about 25 minutes (cooking time will depend on the size of the buns).
