Ingredients
- 300 grams bread flour
- 50 grams ap flour
- 50 grams brown suger
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 tsp dry yeast
- 1 egg
- 180 grams warm water
- 30 grams butter
- 100 grams walnuts
- 1 egg york
- 1 tsp water
Directions

1Roast the walnuts and chop them coarsely.

2Put all the ingredients except water, butter, and walnuts in a large bowl.

3Pour in the warm water and knead the dough for about 20 minutes.

4Cover the bowl and leave it in a warm place until doubled in size, for about 1 hour.

5Poke the dough and make sure it doesn't spring back.

6Punch down the dough and let it rest on for 10 minutes.

7Divide into 12 portions.

8Make tight balls out of the dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

9Cut slits with a knife.

10Cover and let it stand in a warm place for 50 minutes.

11Preheat oven to 400F.

12Brush the egg wash onto the dough top and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
