  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 c. nuts, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. + 1 tsp. corn syrup

Directions

    Melt butter over low heat; add sugar, stirring constantly until dissolved.

    Add water and syrup.

    Cook on low until brittle (290°).

    Remove from heat; stir in walnuts.

    Spread in greased jellyroll pan; cool until hard.

    Melt chocolate and pour over crunch; sprinkle with finely chopped nuts.

    Elevate pan to cool so it doesn't continue to cook.
