  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 sticks Unsalted Butter, At Room Temperature
  • 3 whole Eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons Vanilla
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cups Milk
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Plain Walnuts, Chopped
  • Powdered Sugar, For Dusting

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter and flour a tube-style (angel food) pan.

    Add sugar and butter to a large bowl and cream together using a stand or hand mixer. Beat in eggs and vanilla, followed by sour cream and milk.

    In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix the dry ingredients into wet and then fold in chopped walnuts.

    Pour batter into prepared pan and bake approximately 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before removing from pan and dust with powdered sugar.
