  • 1 cup coconut
  • 12 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 cup butter or 12 cup margarine, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 34 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 23 cup walnuts (or pecans)

Directions

    Bottom layer: Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl.

    Add butter.

    Stir well.

    Press evenly in bottom of greased 9x13-inch pan.

    Bake in 350F oven for about 15 minutes until golden.

    Let stand for about 5 minutes until slightly cooled.

    Top Layer: Beat eggs and vanilla with fork in medium bowl.

    Add remaining 3 ingredients.

    Spoon over warm coconut layer in pan.
